Abuse of Brain Injured Americans Scandalizes U.S.

When you are seeking treatment for someone with a brain injury be vigilant in ascertaining the quality of care and whether that business has received complaints.  While that individual is receiving care, listen to what they are telling you and investigate any indications of abuse.   People with brain impairments are very vulnerable.

This article also emphasises how sparse resources are for the brain injury community:

The complaints underscore the problems that 5.3 million brain-injured Americans are having [difficulty] finding adequate care. Their numbers are growing, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as better emergency medicine and vehicle safety mean that fewer die from traffic accidents, bullet wounds and other causes of traumatic brain injuries.
